THINGS THAT ARE OK

• being in a relationship with someone and not wanting to have sex
• not being interested in sex at all
• being attracted to somebody’s gender but not sex (ex. liking people who identify as female but not “female-bodied”)
• loving 2 or more people at the same time
• liking both boys and girls
• liking somebody who is gender-neutral/gender-fluid
• liking someone despite their gender
• feeling like you were born in the wrong body
• identifying however you want
• wearing clothes that are not a part of the ‘gender construct’ (aka crossdressing)
• girls having penises
• boys having vaginas
• being unsure about your sexuality/identity
• being cis
• being heterosexual
• identifying as non-human or fictionkin
• asking people to use specific pronouns (they/their/them, ze/zer/zem, etc.)

THINGS THAT ARE NOT OK

• purposely misgendering or using the wrong pronouns to somebody
• telling them that how they feel is ‘wrong’
• mocking their identity
• treating somebody as a lesser being because of who they choose to be
• using offensive slurs
• telling them that they are just in denial
• asking personal questions about their genitalia or sex life (“if you’re a boy then why do you have a vagina?” etc)
• being too intrusive in general
